I first visited the Casa in the summer of 1980; I have been back each year since then. We purchased our condo in 1986. I have seen many changes one thing has not changed; many visitors who stay at the Casa tell me that they are planning their next trip to come back. It is a very special place. It is an honor to serve as an owner's representative on the board. We work so well together for the good of our complex. I spend four or five months in Kona. When I am not in Hawaii, I am in Idaho where I enjoy golfing, gardening and volunteering.

Ed Chung
Vice President
Email: chungp008@hawaii.rr.com
My name is Ed Chung. I just recently retired from the Department of Education after 33 years. My other profession has been as a professional entertainer for the past 35 years. I have had the privilege to entertain throughout the world as well as the islands. I'm currently performing at the Kahala Madarin on the weekends. My wife Pat and I are proud owners of Unit #109 since 1984. Pat is the principal broker and owner of Manoa Realty on the Island of Oahu for 25 years. I have three grown kids and we all love the Casa and have a passion for canoe paddling. My mother grew up just 200 yards down the road. As a child, I had many happy summers in Kona. There were no traffic jams, condos, Walmart or even street lights! Imagine Kona in the fifties. Ocean View Restaurant was probably the only place beside the hotel where you could get a hot meal. Residents had catchment tanks and outhouses along Alii Drive. Those were the good old days. My mission is pure and simple and that is to nurture the Aloha way of life which is unique to these islands and also I will do my best to protect that special ambiance that we all enjoy about the Casa.

Robert "Bob" Sutter

"I'm Robert "Bob" Sutter. I am proud to be the Resident Manager of the Casa. Dianna and I enjoy every minute of the beautiful surroundings, the singing birds and meeting people from all over the globe that vacation here. I was born in Detroit Michigan, raised in Southern California and spent 27 years in Yreka, in Northern California. Dianna, my wife, enjoys the islands and really loves hearing about the 100 degree plus weather or the snow storms in the Northwest and delights in not having to get that snow shovel out to get to her car in the winter. We at the Casa are very much like an ohana (family) and invite you to come from where ever you are to visit Kailua-Kona. If you plan to visit the island of Hawaii come and see us at the Casa De Emdeko, we are south of downtown Kailua, on Alii Drive, right on the Pacific Ocean."
Mahalo (thank you) Bob |
